5 Jul 2025

Our Law Firm has advised World Star Aviation, a global aircraft leasing and asset management company, on Lithuanian law aspects of the financing of three Boeing 737-800 aircraft with a leading international financial institution as lender and UMB Bank as security trustee. The firm’s role included advising on Lithuanian insurance compliance, delivering the State of Registration legal opinions, and coordinating closing deliverables with international counsel to the lender.

Šulija & Partners regularly assists foreign lessors, aircraft owners, and financiers in connection with aircraft lease contracts and compliance matters, providing cross-border legal support in complex aviation transactions.

As from1 July  2025, the Cape Town Convention entered into force in Lithuania, and the national aircraft registration rules have been updated accordingly. Our team continues to advise clients on the practical implications of these changes for aircraft leasing and financing structures.
