The law firm Sulija Partners is thrilled to share our latest success story in immigration law. Our team recently achieved a decisive victory in the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania, where our lawyers represented two foreign nationals challenging decisions made by the Migration Department.
Case Overview: A Landmark Immigration Ruling
Our clients—a husband and wife—faced the cancellation of their residence permits. The wife’s permit was annulled due to claims that her salary no longer met the requirements, and her husband’s permit was canceled as it was tied to hers. Our experienced legal team mounted a strong defense, proving that the Migration Department had wrongly applied outdated legal criteria, overlooking changes in the law that had taken place since the permits were first issued.
Despite an initial unfavorable decision, we appealed the ruling, and the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania agreed with our arguments. The court annulled both decisions of the Migration Department, allowing our clients to retain their residence permits and continue their lives in Lithuania.
