Aviation - restructuring and bankruptcy

The law firm is advising Macquaire AirFinance managing the lease of two Airbus A320 aircraft  to UAB “Avion Express” and also Castlelake, L.P.  - global private investment firm managing fund, leasing two Airbus A321 aircraft to the same airline. 

The Lithuanian airline has started restructuring procedures in November 2020 due to the financial difficulties resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. Our law firm has advised global aviation investors on changing the structure of the aircraft lease transactions with UAB “Avion Express” as well as on possible implications of the restructuring of the airline on lessors, repossession of the leased aircraft and continues to represent the clients during the restructuring process.
