EU succession law assignments

The law firm assisted in procuring the enforcement of a European Certificate of Succession issued to the client in Spain in Lithuania. The client is a Spanish citizen who inherited the property of a deceased UK citizen in Lithuania. The law firm advised the client and procured that the inherited real estate property in Lithuania is registered in the client’s name based on the European Certificate of Succession. The law firm also assisted in procuring the funds of the deceased held in a Lithuanian bank being safely transferred to the Spanish resident.
The law firm continues to advise the client on Lithuanian tax matters and assists the client in selling the inherited property in Lithuania.
