Recognition of a Foreign Judgment

The Lithuanian court refused to grant the request of the person concerned to suspend the case due to the initiated appeal proceedings in US and further dismissed arguments of the legal representatives’ of the person concerned regarding the alleged obstacles for recognition and enforcement of a foreign judgment in Lithuania. The Lithuanian court went on to rule that the US Court judgment regarding the recovery of more than US$ 34,000,000 by the applicant represented by our Law Firm from her former husband shall be enforced in Lithuania in full, empowering the applicant to recover the debt from any assets of her former husband in Lithuania.
