On November 22, 2012 the Minister of Environment of the Republic of Lithuania adopted the Order on the adjustment of the description of the procedure of convening the meetings of owners of apartments and other premises, publishing the meeting agenda and taken decisions (No. D1-961).
The meeting of owners of apartments and other premises shall be convened by the board of association of the apartment building, or by a person authorised to convey a meeting under the joint venture agreement executed by the owners of apartments and other premises, or by the administrator of common shared property of owners of apartments and other premises, or by a municipal executive authority, or by the ¼ of owners of apartments and other premises.
Meeting organiser must prepare a notice on convening of the meeting, which must provide information on the meeting organiser's name, address, phone number, website address, the date, time and place of the meeting, the agenda of the meeting and drafts of proposed decisions regarding each matter of the agenda, as well as the deadline for the apartment owners to submit their suggestions, questions, opinions or available information which is relevant to the meeting agenda.
The aforementioned notice must be published no later than two weeks prior to the actual date of the meeting on the meeting organiser's website, on the bulletin boards of the apartment building, as well as by putting it to the mailbox of each apartment owner.
If the meeting does not occur due to the insufficient number of apartment owners participating, the next meeting shall be convened not earlier than after two weeks.
Decisions of the meeting must be published on the website, bulletin boards, as well as by putting them to the mailbox of each apartment owner.
The Order will come into force as of 1st of January, 2013.
